Firozabad district was established on 5/2/89.The District is connected by rail and bus to major cities . The nearest Airport is Agra . Longitude is 78 degree of east and latitude is 27 degree of north . The height is above mean sea level 164.467 meter .
The Government Polytechnic, Firozabad was established in the year 2004. It is situated at Jalesar Road, near Stadium,Firozabad. The distance of the institute from railway station is about 6 Kms. and from bus stand is about 5 Kms.
The institute was established with one disciplines i.e. 3 Years diploma in Glass and Ceramics Engineering. The diploma in Mechanical Engineering (specialization in Production.) and Chemical Engineering was started in the year 2009-10.
The institute has an academic block, class rooms, drawing halls, faculty and staff accommodation are available in the institute campus.
The Boys hostel(for the 96 students) & The Girls Hostel(for the 60 students) is under Construction.
The institute is affiliated from the Board of Technical Education, U.P., Lucknow and all running courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
